“The Wedding Party Studio” promo...

We recently got a chance to film a fun marketing promotional video for The Wedding Party Studio. The Wedding Party Studio is owned and operated by Naomi Peters and Robin Yeager. Robin first met Naomi while shopping for her dream-wedding gown 3 years ago at Blush Couture. The pair later worked together on a bridal event and then decided to combine their creative, entrepreneurial spirits to bring both an innovative and essential studio to the Dallas area.

Lights, Camera, Action!...

One of the best pieces of advice I can give to any bride or groom when looking into filming their wedding is to have good lighting at their event. Lighting is one of the most important components of making a good wedding film an amazing wedding film.

From color washes, spot lights, lanterns, to personalized graphics and monograms, lights transform a venue and allow the bride and groom to set the mood and tone of their event. When proper lighting is achieved, one feels like they are entering into a different world. Not only does this affect the wedding film from a cinematography standpoint, but everyone entering into this “world” picks up on the tone and the “wow factor” is accomplished.

Another advantage of lighting is that it allows the important elements of the event to stand out. Without proper illumination, even the most beautiful flowers and delicious cake will fade into the background. Lighting provides a third dimension to those special details that most couples work so hard to make part of their big day.

Take your wedding to the next level. Let the lights of your event reflect the radiance in your hearts!

Why choose video?...

We asked one of our recent brides, why video is so important to her and here is her response. Here are some stats that we found according to a recent survey: “Before the wedding, while brides are making plans, over half (54%) rank video as one of the Top 10 most important bridal services. However, that number increases to 79% AFTER the wedding, as brides look back and assess the individual value of each service.”

Our love story:

Dan and Jess started dating their senior year of high school. They had no idea that 4 and half years later they would be getting married and truly become high school sweethearts. One of their favorite memories will always be the special weekend Dan proposed. It all started with Jess wanting to go to the Fort Worth Zoo and the Dallas Arboretum. So Dan and Jess decided to leave school in Abilene for a date weekend. Jess was very involved in planning the weekend so she did not think that Dan would be proposing. They went to the Fort Worth Zoo Friday afternoon and then stayed with Jess’ aunt and uncle in North Richland Hills that evening. That night Dan and Jess discussed what they would do for breakfast in the next morning before heading to the Arboretum. Jess suggested just eating there instead of grabbing something on the way but Dan insisted on the latter. As Dan and Jess were driving to the Arboretum Jess was growing hungrier by the minute and when they arrived at the Arboretum she guessed they were just going to eat there. When they got out of the car Dan pulled out a surprise picnic basket (which Jess had mentioned wanting a while back) and blanket. They had planned to have a Valentines Day picnic but weather had not permitted it. Jess just thought the picnic was making up for that. As they went in they walked around looking for the perfect spot to have the picnic. Jess thought they just happened upon the most amazing spot, but what she didn’t know is that Dan and a few friends had picked it out the weekend before while Jess was at a wedding shower for her friend Katie. The spot was a nice place away from everyone that overlooked the lake. Ducks were resting nearby and the weather could not have been more perfect. Dan had brought blueberry streusel muffins, cinnamon swirl bread, and apple juice for breakfast. He had even bought Jess a couple of cups to have it in that she had wanted from Target. After breakfast Dan said next was dessert. Jess was very confused at the thought of dessert after breakfast. He then pulled out the craziest concoction which consisted of spaghetti noodles, little marshmallows, chocolate syrup, maple syrup, s’mores poptarts, and little debbies. Jess asked if they were really going to eat it right before she realized it was what Elf ate in the movie, which was what they had watched on their first date. After that Dan said that they needed to put on the final topping. He opened Jess’ hand and placed a handful of M&Ms on which some said “Jess Marry Me” and some said “Love Dan.” He then got down on one knee and proposed. Jess said yes right away of course. :)
