Get the Party Started | Todd Events “Metamorphosis” Anniversary Film

Here in North Texas, we’re extremely blessed to have some of the nation’s best wedding professionals living and working in the area. One man in particular has become one of the top 35 planners in the country in just 10 short years. Yes, we’re talking about Todd Fiscus, the namesake behind the award-winning brand Todd Events. Friends and clients joined Todd to celebrate 10 years of Todd Events in a lavish party hosted at the estate of Cindy and Howard Rachofsky underneath a 90-foot diameter, seven thousand square foot geodesic dome tent. Guests enjoyed bubbly Veuve Clicquot, delectable hors d’oeuvres and spectacular musical performances. But, perhaps, one of the defining moments of the celebration came during the premiere of an anniversary film our team produced. Even the Dallas Morning News commented on the party’s importance and the premiere of the film. “But the grand finale will be a party inside the dome at the Rachofskys’…But unlike the parties he did for them, Wednesday’s will feature Fiscus’ exclusive vision, a chance for him to let himself go creatively,” said Alan Peppard. “To that end, he will screen a short film he has created for the occasion called Metamorphosis.” “Metamorphosis” was a visual representation of Todd Events’ past, present and future. Commissioned by Todd himself, he had a strong vision and distinct eye for what he wanted the film to look like and how it should feel. The theme borrowed inspiration from the journey that a caterpillar embarks upon to become a butterfly, specifically the metamorphosis that occurs. The film is bookended by the start and end of the metamorphosis, and the middle of the piece showcases the journey to becoming a butterfly. In context, the film opens with Todd covered in goo reminiscent of a caterpillar, and by the end, Todd has transformed into a tuxedo and completed the metamorphosis. We know that Todd is one of the many treasures we have here in Dallas, and this video further illustrates why he is simply the best....

There’s No Place Like Home

At the beginning of this year, we embarked on a search for a new studio home, and we’re so excited to announce that the search is over. It’s been a long time coming, but we’ve finally moved into our new space and are now proud residents of Dallas’ Design District! Many of you may know that we’re not strangers to the Design District, as we used to have a space on Dragon Street. Since then, our team has grown tremendously, and that growth fueled our need to bid our Stanley Korshak studio adieu for larger digs. Don’t get us wrong, Uptown will always have a special place in our hearts, but returning to the Design District is like coming home. This move signifies our commitment to continue telling heartfelt stories that engage and entertain families. To that end, the studio offers a variety of amenities that you, too, can reap the benefits. Our beautiful sound stage gives us more freedom to create concept films similar to the “Metamorphosis” film we created for Todd Fiscus. That film is but one example of how our sound stage can be used to create one-of-a-kind concept films. The possibilities are endless and we can’t wait to create more concept films. Another amenity that the studio offers is ample space and ability to host groups and events alike. We’re thrilled and eager to welcome brides, their families and wedding planners. Our client screening room is cozy enough for you and your special loved ones to view your film for the very first time. Share in the excitement together as you relive your special day in a quiet, intimate setting. We’d love for you to call or email us today to schedule your visit of our new studio. When you do, we’ll welcome you with open arms, a film and a bag of popcorn. And as tradition in the month of November, we want to give thanks. We appreciate every single one of our clients that have allowed to us to be a part of their special days and you for helping us succeed thus far. From the bottom of the hearts of the entire Hakim Sons Films team, thank you. All photos are courtesy of Greg Blomberg Photography....

Family First | Megan & Jay Cinematic Wedding Highlights Film

The holiday season is quickly approaching and with it comes the time for family. Maybe that’s why we can’t stop gushing over Megan and Jay’s wedding ceremony that was a family affair and more. The lovebirds celebrated with their family earlier this year in a beautiful hilltop wedding in Owasso, Oklahoma. Family and friends joined Megan and Jay in an intimate ceremony that overlooked a whimsical, grassy knoll at the Patriot Golf Club. The ivory and champagne colors with a touch of navy provided the perfect accompaniment to the lush, outdoor foliage of the golf club. But as perfect as the day was for Megan and Jay, it wasn’t complete without two very important people. Their daughter Lainey walked the aisle as flower girl while their son Austin kept watch on the precious cargo as ring bearer. With their children at their sides, Megan & Jay’s families became one in a cozy wedding to be remembered by all.   Special thanks to the vendors that made Megan & Jay’s celebration possible: Wedding Coordinator Caroline Winfrey – The Patriot Golf Club Cake Icing on the Top Caterer The Patriot Golf Club Glacier Confection Dress Designer Maggie Sottero Entertainment & Lighting Edge Sight & Sound Florist The Bridal Garden by Lindi Hair & Make Up Lure Salon – Hair Photography Brandon Scott – Dos Okies Weddings Cinematography Hakim Sons Films Rentals Party Pro Venues The Patriot Golf Club...

Mollie & Chris | Cinematic Wedding Highlights

One of the beautiful things about weddings is that every single one of them is different. Each bride and groom has the opportunity to design their ceremony and celebration in a way that represents their personalities and love for one another. It comes as no surprise that Mollie and Chris wanted to throw one massive party when it came to their wedding. Opting for a non-traditional wedding that included gospel singers and no toasts during the reception, Mollie and Chris wanted everyone to have a good time. The couple pulled out all the stops and had the Grammy award-winning group Earth, Wind & Fire perform during the reception. And if you’re wondering whether or not the band played “September,” the track that’s been dubbed as the “song that never ends,” the answer is a resounding yes. Guests sang, danced, celebrated and partied the night away. Like “September,” it was the wedding celebration that no one wanted to end. Mollie & Chris share an easy love, and we know they’re destined for marital bliss.   Special thanks to the vendors that made Mollie & Chris’ celebration possible: Wedding Coordinator Todd Events – Elizabeth Fenton Dress Designer Lisette Lux Entertainment Earth, Wind & Fire Hair & Make Up Carlos Franco Donna Abate Make Up Photography Braedon Flynn Photography Cinematography Hakim Sons Films Venues Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Church River Oaks Country Club...

Meet Julie and Timothy. The two were high school sweethearts and sustained their love for one another throughout the years. After telling Julie he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, Timothy got down on one knee and popped the question. Following the engagement, Julie went about planning the perfect wedding day, but Timothy had other plans. He wanted to amaze his bride with an original rendition of John Legend’s “All of Me” during their wedding reception. Timothy is an accomplished musician, but hadn’t performed in a while, so he wanted to rehearse for his big performance. He successfully prepared for nine months all while keeping the surprise a secret from Julie. Zehra & Faizan | Cinematic Wedding Highlights

Each fall season, the Monarch Butterfly embarks on a lengthy journey to the mountain region of Mexico. This winter survival technique known as Monarch Migration happened on Oct. 4, the same day that Zehra and Faizan became one in marriage. Scientists say the butterflies head south for self-preservation, but we believe the Monarchs are making room for Zehra and Faizan’s season of love and matrimony. The two met in 2006 at Camp Al Ummah in Pennsylvania. At the time, neither of them could have imagined what was in store. Zehra and Faizan hit it off and began a long distance relationship that would span from Atlanta to Dallas. Fast-forward eight years later to Zehra and Faizan walking together in their destiny. The couple expressed their love for one another in a lavish soiree with guests who traveled near and far to help celebrate their union. From Dallas and Atlanta to Orlando and Pakistan, Zehra & Faizan received an unforgettable outpouring of love and support from their closest friends and family. Erin & Matt | Cinematic Wedding Highlights Film

Erin and Matt met while they both were teachers at the same school. Between teaching and coaching students, the couple found a way to fall head over heels in love. It may have had something to do with the fact that their classrooms were side by side. Seven years later, Erin and Matt tied the knot in an elegant ceremony adored by all. When asked what he was most excited for on the wedding day, Matt simple replied that he couldn’t wait to watch his love walk down the aisle. The newlyweds entered into marital bliss with a rose petal sendoff, but not before stealing some time to dance and celebrate in the street. Having already traveled to the Cayman Islands, Belize and Hawaii, we’re excited to see Erin and Matt embark on their next adventure as husband and wife.   “We absolutely loved all the pieces of the video. Kathy & Joe | Cinematic Wedding Highlights Film

Kathy and Joe chose one of the most beautiful Texas hill country ranches to have their wedding. From the native wild flowers and poignant cedar and magnificent oak trees spread across the rolling hills to two flowing natural springs and abundant wildlife, God’s gift of nature was a large part of their setting. As the weeks and days drew near and the final wedding plans evolved, the true theme became very clear. Second marriages for both, the couple realized the only thing that could complement this beautiful venue was the story of how they arrived there. By involving Kathy and Joe’s four beautiful and talented daughters in spiritual songs and readings, the wedding took on a whole new meaning. “Family” has always been very dear to both the bride and groom, and by featuring the girls in the beautiful ceremony, every guest felt a part of this extended family. A late spring thunderstorm could not ruin the wonderful event. From the most beautiful floral arrangements, delicious food and outstanding Texas country music to a magically rustic ranch theme, the three day event went on flawlessly. Not to mention, a special performance by country stars Pat Green and Jack Ingram. Recording this event through still photography and video (including an airborne drone) proved to be priceless. At a reception three months later in Dallas, the combined video presentation was a hit and drew tears from guests who had missed the wedding, as well as those who were there.   “Thanks again….We LOVE our video so much!     Our team traveled to Mexico for what guests referred to as the “Cancun wedding of the year.” We certainly understand their sentiments because Bushra and Yusuf’s entire celebration was nothing short of amazing. Guests followed a pathway lit by tiki torches to the “welcome night” dinner on the beach. With sand beneath their feet and the sea breeze on their skin, everyone knew they were in for a memorable time. Of course, the revelry was just beginning. From the whimsical, white floral arrangements and amazing performances to the dance floor that lit up like a disco ball, Bushra and Yusuf threw one wild party. In our 14-year history, we’ve been fortunate to film more destination weddings than we can count, and Bushra and Yusuf’s wedding is one of the best. Lighting Up the City with Love

When Priya and Sunny envisioned their big day, they wanted it to be an expression of just how unique their love is and they went to new heights to do so. Priya and Sunny lit up the sky and the Big D when their initials were displayed on the side of Omni Dallas Hotel, which happens to be the largest LED light display in the city! But they didn’t stop there. As Priya and Sunny glided across the dance floor as husband and wife, fireworks burst into the atmosphere to mark the beginning of their beautiful marriage. We are still in awe and are in pure amazement of Priya and Sunny’s exhilarating celebration. Their film, which is a Same Day Edit shown at their reception, radiates happiness and joy and displays Priya and Sunny’s undeniable connection. It will either warm your heart, make you want to dance, put you in a really good mood or most likely all of the above. You decide!     “When I first began wedding planning, I just went down the checklist and of course filmmaker was on the list. I had heard good things about Hakim Sons Films, so I set up a meeting. After my first meeting with Shezad, however, I realized this was not just a casual decision. It became abundantly clear to me that a wedding film is not only immensely important, but that it is largely shaped by the filmmaker you choose. Hakim Sons Films immediately wanted to get to know us better as a couple and learn more about what our vision was for our wedding film. From the minute we wet them, Hakim Sons Films always went above and beyond expectations. As such, we had high expectations for our wedding film, but the final product surpassed our expectations by leaps and bounds. Shezad, Jose, and the entire team became part of our family by the end of the wedding. They knew our parents, siblings, grandparents, and the list goes on. I believe it is this relationship that they created with us as a couple as well as with those near and dear to us, that allowed them to capture our story so effortlessly. A Real New York Love Story

Vanisha and Suketu’s love story is retold in docu-reality format, a style made popular by shows like MTV’s “The Real World” and “Survivor.” With New York as the backdrop, we pushed our creativity to craft a unique film that Vanisha and Suketu could share with their friends and family at their wedding reception. This is not our first concept film, but the first to be filmed in the docu-reality style. Our editing techniques are most notably different, opting for harder cuts and shakier camera angles. Though the execution and style may be new, the quality of work is undoubtedly Hakim Sons Films....
