Every bride dreams of the perfect wedding, finding the perfect dress and picking the perfect song for the first dance. However, weddings are sometimes full of stress, what ifs and uncertainty. Wedding planners and vendors are there to handle those problems large and small and ensure that the couple gets hitched without a hitch. But at the root of a wedding, it is not about the floral arrangements or the cake that you will feed your spouse, it’s all about the love you two share.
A recent blog article published by the HuffPost Weddings explores the idea that “every wedding is perfect” as long as you are there with the one you love. In the post entitled “Resolution”, award-winning photographer Anne Almasy urges brides and grooms to live in the moment and enjoy the beauty of their wedding. More importantly, she gives an impassioned account of what her job as a wedding photographer really means. “To photograph your parents, who will hold hands and cry on the first row of the chapel. To photograph your first kiss as a married couple, your best friend busting out her signature dance moves, the flower girl asleep under the table,” Anne says. “My job is to give you photos that will remind you why you had the party in the first place.” Although we are there to film the wedding celebration, we understand and share Anne’s sentiment. Our team is there to capture those beautiful moments that you will want to relive for the rest of your life. We are not in the wedding business. We are in the business of people. That philosophy is heard throughout the studio and certainly felt by our brides and grooms.
From the initial consultation to the delivery of your wedding film, we are with you throughout the entire process. We want to know what will make your wedding special. What do you want to see? How do you want to feel? What is your story? Ultimately, these questions are on the forefront of our minds as we film your wedding celebration. Your wedding day should be a joyous occasion, filled with laughter, family, friends and a lot of heart. We want to be a part of that. We want to ensure that when you look back on your wedding, you remember everything that was important and special.
Recently we filmed a beautiful Indian wedding for Sruthi & Scott. This wedding film is special because the couple’s love story is told through stunning visuals and powerful quotes from Peter Høeg, J. R. R. Tolkien, Lao Tzu and Confucius. Additionally, Scott’s love for his bride Sruthi shines through and tugs on the heart strings of romantics and anyone else who experiences their film. “Sruthi, I drug all across the world. We’ve successfully navigated the deserts of Israel, Belize with basically no luggage, the lava fields of Guatemala, and actually an Indian wedding. Before Sruthi I was single for a long time, and a lot of my friends told me I had unrealistically high standards. But I never lowered the bar. Sruthi is one of those rare women whose beauty is only outdone by her capabilities.”
